Visitor centre De Kennemerduinen

The visitors centre De Kennemerduinen is located along the N200 road between Haarlem and Zandvoort. This is the main entrance of Zuid Kennemerland National Park. Here you will find a cafe, shop and information desk where you can find information about animals and plants that live in the National Park. Also you can gather suggestions to hike, bike or explore the National Park with a tour. Admission is free.

Bison Trail

In case you arrive by car; from Haarlem follow the N200 road ('Zeeweg') to Bloemendaal aan Zee. After passing camping De Lakens at your right hand side and just before reaching the beachfront of Zandvoort, signs indicate car park P1 and P2. From here you can start your hike towards the Northern entrance of the Bison rail by taking the trail called Duinpieperpad. Following this trail leads you to the Bison Trail which is indicated with information panels. 

You can also reach the Bison Trail when taking Connexxion bus 81 from Haarlem station (towards Zandvoort). Get off at stop De Lakens, or the next one: Strand. Between these bus stops you will find the Duinpieperpad at the Southern side of the road. Follow Duinpieperpad and you will arrive at the Bison Trail, clearly indicated by information panels.
